Marine plastics pollution is one of the most urgent environmental challenges of the 21st century. Tackling this problem means rethinking how plastics are produced, used and disposed of. From upstream to downstream, turning the tide on plastic pollution will require an all-hands-on-deck approach, involving producers, governments and consumers.
Supporting this transition is the Regional Knowledge Centre for Marine Plastic Debris. We collect and disseminate existing knowledge on marine plastics, while also supporting research, knowledge creation and capacity building that can help improve circularity for plastics in the 13 countries that make up ASEAN+3.
