i-Compology's "Biofade" is a marine biodegradable bio-composite plastic designed to address plastic waste issues, particularly in marine environments. Made through a collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute, Biofade decomposes fully in seawater, reducing microplastic pollution. It contains 40% wood flour, enhancing biodegradation, and is suitable for injection molding into various products.
