Since January 2021, biodegradable plastic bags have been offered to the consumers with a selling price of USD 0.10 per bag. The bags have been previously assessed to guarantee its biodegradability and further eco-labelled with the Hong Kong Green Label. Reusable eco bags with different varieties and prices are also offered to replace single-use plastic bags. Since July 2021, paper straws have introduced to replace the plastic straws for beverages, while some foods like salad, are currently packaged with paper box, instead of plastic box. In food court station, styrofoam bowls/plates have been mainly replaced with regular bowls/plates for dine-in purpose.
